Retired Austin Travelers
Valuable Scotland Travel Tip

If you're Planning A Trip To Scotland, Don't miss this valuable tip!

Pat Murphree has a friend in Edinburgh whose family company has been offering coach tours of the British Isles as well as to other points in Europe for four generations.  He was kind enough to share some information on the Edinburg Tattoo which was mentioned yesterday.  The majority of their clients are Scots, but they do have American and Australians who travel with them as well.   Here is a link his company's website:  www.fitzcharles.co.uk

Quoting David Fitzcharles, "One of the most popular events in Scotland is the Edinburgh Tattoo, during August, and yes, we are running coaches to this event.  We have availability on Friday 8th August, and the price includes our coach fare into Edinburgh,
then we run you back after the concert. Should you or any of your group come to Edinburgh for the Tattoo or the Edinburgh Festival in August, DON'T stay in Edinburgh.  Prices go through the roof during August, and there are much nicer hotels just outside Edinburgh that are still within an easy commute of the city centre. I would advise staying in Linlithgow, which has a railway station, trains every 15 minutes into Edinburgh, and our coach can pick you up in Linlithgow and take you to the Tattoo.

here are also lots of new motels just opened around the Falkirk area, which is around 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre." The link to their Tattoo package is http://www.fitzcharles.co.uk/Tattoo8thAugust2014.htm
